Viva Los Cabos

We made it half way through our first winter in Montana and jumped at the chance to vacation with the Loves in Mexico. Although the MT winter has been very mild this year, it was still nice to get away from the dead grass and chilly winds. Aside from a minor hiccup at the beginning (overnight in Seattle and a visit to the Aquarium!), all travel went smoothly. A week in sunny Mexico was ours at last! Beach time, pool time, and Becky Love...delightful!

Discovering the Crockpot

Last year Tim's mom gave us a really nice crockpot. It dwarfs the size of my "crockpot for 1" from back in the single days, but I haven't used it much because I don't have any crockpot recipes. Until now! One of my favorite magazines (Real Simple), just published a bunch of slow cooker recipes and I am determined to try them all. Starting it off with some chicken curry tonight, and creamy chicken with biscuits for a nice Sunday supper. If the prep work continues to be as easy and hassle free as the curry was to put together this morning, then I might have to invest in Cooks Illustrated's Slow Cooker Revolution. Well, I guess since I have dinner all ready and Ben is napping, I might as well sit down and have some bon bons.

Alphabet soup anyone?

Now that Ben is sitting on his own (and he just started crawling too!) he has graduated to the "big boy" bath. I think it his most favorite 15 minutes of the day. Splashing around and being on his tummy.

We are 7 weeks away from the big move to Montana, and our excitement is building. We are ready for some adventures in the west, with a babe on our backs.
